Listen up, pal!
This post is aimed at the driver of this world and focused on drivers in The Greater Toronto Area. I focus on The Greater Toronto Area because here is where I noticed the terrible drivers! I’ve spoken to people from other areas and they too have noticed the drivers here are nuts.
Is it because the population here is the greatest in Ontario – like some claim? Or is it due to the amount of foreigners with a driver’s license who in fact never seen a car until now – let alone drove one. Either way --- If you drive in this area read my post.
If you get nervous driving on the highways – STAY off of the highways. There are other routes to take that will keep you off them. Use Google maps. It’s a fine little tool! I do not like driving on highways. I know this about myself so I take other routes instead of taking the highways. It takes ONE asshole to make the highways a mess.
There are some drivers out there that need to stay out of the driver’s seat, period! Not everyone can drive. If you think you are a good driver - read my checklist for examples that will let you know if you are a good driver or bad driver. ;-)
1) If you slam on your breaks going 100+km an hour on the highway, then
You are a BAD driver.
2) If you slam on your breaks, period, then
You are a BAD driver.
3) If your foot is on the break pedal more than on the gas pedal, then
You are a BAD driver.
4)If you drive continuously in the fast lane going slower than everyone else on the highways, then
You are a BAD driver. Stay the hell out of the fast lane!
5) If you slow down to look at a car accident or a car pulled over, then
You are a BAD, BAD driver. (You back traffic up, ASSHOLE. DRIVE!)
6) If you feel you’re a NASCAR driver and weave in and out of traffic, then
You are a BAD driver.
7) If you always get beeped at, then
You are a BAD driver.
8) If people stare at you and give you that "you're an asshole" look as they pass you, then
You are a BAD driver
9) If you see the ‘bird’ daily by passing drivers, then
You are a BAD driver
10) If you are driving in a construction area and you see the sign that indicates it will be going down to one lane. And you do not merge when you see that sign, then
You are a BAD driver. You are NOT getting ahead by driving further – you are backing up traffic, asshole!
11) If you do not understand number 10, then
STAY out of the driver’s seat – take a drivers course given by a reputable company, if you do not take my advice. Then you will be a BAD driver, guaranteed!
12) If you speed in a construction area, then
You are a BAD driver
13) If you text or read text, emails, etc. while driving, then
You are a BAD driver and a dangerous driver!
14) If you sit at green lights and do not go, then
You are a BAD driver. Pay attention, douche bag!
15) If you do ANYTHING other than drive your car when you are in the driver’s seat, then
You are a BAD driver!!
It’s because of you people that traffic exists – it’s because of you people that make road rage real.
I actually enjoyed driving until I moved here. Now, I sit at green lights and watch people go on red. I sit in traffic because there is an asshole that has stopped his/her car in the middle of the road to watch a police who has someone pulled over. Or even worse they want to view a car accident. Weirdo!
I get mulled over by the public transit buses – if you do not move right when they turn on their signal they will push you into on coming traffic! It’s down right nutty.
If every driver gets trained properly and has common courtesy we may make the Greater Toronto Area a little less backed up with traffic.
Or maybe I just need to move!

Are you frickin serious?!
There are people who are laid off and not able to feed their children. There are families who are starving in the streets of Canada.
Of all the stories that could be a headline - I have this pop up on my web browser!
LINK
LOL. The media blows my mind sometimes. I would be embarrassed to even write that story.. Heavens above people. WHO cares if Mr. Harper ate the damn wafer or shoved it in his pocket!

What the hell – Part 2
This is the second series of my post. I will break down the cost of living verses minimum wage in Ontario, Canada. I have already done the simple Math in my head – before beginning my little research. I plan to focus on The Greater Toronto Area. And I will also be fair about this post and focus even closer on the suburbs - such as Mississauga, Ontario. I am almost 100% sure a single person without any children will have a better chance for a basic life in Mississauga, Ontario rather than Xenia, Ohio. Just for the simple fact that Mississauga offers shared accommodations and high rise buildings.
Minimum wage in Ontario, Canada has gone up, as of tomorrow - From $8.00 an hour to $8.75. First off let me say: The people who complain about this should be ashamed of themselves. If everyone is so worried about the economy why do the gas prices keep increasing, why must we spend $20.00+ for a “value” pack of chicken or $7.00+ for TWO chicken breast -- in the grocery store? Drop the cost of living and balance out the minimum wage. It’s not that hard – use your damn common sense. Canada could be a superpower in the world today - if they would just ease up on their taxes.
Anyways, that's a different story, for a different post.
In Ontario with the rate at $8.75 an hour -- pulling in 40 hours a week. You will gross $350.00 (before taxes). The lowest rent in Mississauga, Ontario I was able to find is $445.00 a month. Luckily that includes all the utilities - but that is also shared accommodations. Heaven forbid that you have children. The lowest amount for a 3 bedroom would cost you a cool $1000 in a not so friendly building! It's so sad really.
Now our basic Math skills. $350.00 a week = $1400.00 a month. (NOT TAXED) With your basic rent at $445.00 - you'll have $955.00 left for the month. Again,(NOT TAXED).
Time for the grocery.
(I myself spend $400.00+ a month at the store - which includes Shampoo, Soap, Toilet paper, food. All the necessities. That amount is also based on a two person family - zero children. We can chop that amount in half to base it on a single person.) This individual will have $755.00 left for their bus pass or gas for the month to get back and forth to work. The bus pass is about $100 a month.
So without all the taxes in Ontario, Canada – a single person could live a basic life in Mississauga making minimum wage. And not missing a days of work. We also have to keep in mind that all the numbers I posted where NOT taxed. So, the $200.00 a month for the necessities will look more like $210.00+. Which again may not seem like much. But, it does add up and what happens if one month this person is sick and doesn't get the full 40 hours a week in? That extra $10+ would help out.
It's really weird to me but in Canada they seem to take off very little personal income taxes at the beginning of the year on their Citizens/Permanent Residents but then quickly begins taking A LOT.
Don't get me wrong I am not opposed to paying taxes. I think it is necessary actually. But, I am against the amount that is being taken. And the amount taxed when I am trying to buy food - what is up with this PST & GST?!. GST makes zero sense to me.
If Ontario would ease up on the everyday taxes that would help balance out their cost of living and help people get ahead instead of people living a basic life or struggling.
The thought of adding children to these numbers make my stomach turn. It’s just awful. See link -- Hungry Families
I feel all that goes back to the cost of living in our communities along with minimum wage. The government needs to take care of our people in each country. Whether it is in Canada or The United States. Both governments work for the people and I think it is high time that our government steps it up!
There has to be a balance with the cost of living. And, I truly feel Canada could figure it out before anyone else can if they try! They have less people to focus on than The United States. They have less debt too.
I hope I will see the day when our governments truly do their jobs!

What the hell?! (Part 1)
I want to know how the government expects its citizens to live off of minimum wage.
In this post I will break down a few States/Provinces in The United States and Canada’s minimum wages and the cost of living in each place. I base the cost of living on the average rent in those places. Let's face it if you can’t pay the basic rent – then you are homeless.
Let’s start with my home State. Ohio’s minimum wage is $7.25 - $7.30. See the link and it will quickly break it down for you. At that rate (if you actually find a job that will give you 40 hours a week) you will gross $229.00 a week. That is not counting taxes withheld from you. That is not counting missed days due to illness, or missed days due to your children being ill or missed days due to Doctors appointments for yourself or children.
Let’s base this on a single person without children. One would gross $916.00 a month. You may be able to find a rental property (see this link) for $400 a month. 1 bedroom.
It’s time for us to do basic Math: $916.00 - $400 = $516.00. Now your rent is paid. Time to pay your basic utilities - which are water, heat and electric. You have to eat too! Plus, you need gas to get back and forth to your job, not to mention your toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, soap, etc. I do not have all the numbers for the cost of utilites but use your common sense and you will realize people can not live off of mininum wage in Ohio! Some may think: can I get any help from the government such as ‘welfare’ to help with the cost of food? Since we are basing this on a single person – hell no! If we base this on a family of 3. Two Adults working with 1 child, both adults making minimum wage, again no. They will "make too much" to qualify. Which, I agree with that – those programs are in place for people that can not find a job. But, with that said something needs to change.
1)The cost of living needs to decrease
Or
2)The minimum wage needs to increase (without the cost of living increasing.)
As I am complaining about the State of Ohio. I can say that I do know Green County, Ohio does help the 'poor families' and I applaud them for it. They help train them for interview, etc. etc. But, the government needs to put a program in place to assist the working poor. The ones that do get off their asses everyday and flip hamburgers to only gross $916.00 a month.
If they DO have programs that assist these people. Then, you are doing a LOUSY job of promoting these programs. Maybe you need to spend more on letting your residents know they are not alone. Something needs to change, and quickly.
I know there has to be people out there reading this and they are thinking: "why didn't this individual" go to college? Well - this individual was raised in that family of 3 I mentioned. They couldn't afford paying school fees, which was a constant embarrassment - not to mention the embarrassment of not having school supplies, clean clothes, soap. They would go to school hungry, etc. Our individual dropped out of High School ...
I planned on breaking down a few locations in this post but, I wasn't aware it was going to take this much time. So, I will post a few with the same subject just different locations.
Until next time----

President Obama
I voted for him. And, if I had it to do over again – I would give him my vote. He seems to be an amazing Father and Husband. And, I am sure he is a pretty cool friend to have.
I hear people talk about how he has ruined our economy - our way of life and our country. I listen to these people’s opinion – and then I quickly realize they were Bush supporters. That or I realize they are prejudice. It’s funny how people quickly forget Bush moving tons of our businesses to Mexico. How Bush attacked a country and tried to fool us into believing we were fighting for 9-11. How about all the men and women we have lost in that war. There is so much blood shed on that mans hands – it’s crazy! But, yet Obama has been blamed for the downfall America has gone through recently. I don’t think it’s fair.
My thought is this – Yes, when Obama got into office the shit hit the fan. Why? Not because this is his fault. It’s because he allowed the people to see all of Bush’s mistakes. He started taking monies that Bush’s government put in place with different programs that were not helping anyone get ahead. And, unfortunately some of that money was being used in programs that held pieces together with scotch tape. The whole bottom was falling out underneath Bush and his government’s feet for a few years. It’s all common sense really if you think about it.
It’s going to take Obama 4 years to clean things up and another 4 years to put things in place. (If he gets a chance) This brings me to another conversation.
DOMA (Defense of Marriage Act) This topic means a lot to me as a citizen and voter. I live in Canada with my wife. I am an American and she is Canadian. (I have to quickly Thank Canada for allowing me to become a Permanent Resident and seeing our marriage. If it wasn’t for this she and I would be living separate lives. So, Thank You Canada.)
It makes me sick to my stomach to know that I can not live with her in my home country because of the DOMA act. I planned to apply to get her a green card when I was stopped in my tracks.
I read through the process and I see a section called ‘Gay Marriage’ (note they offered that title in blue bold cause that makes us see clearer!) and I quote: “Can a gay marriage (even in a state where these are legal) be the basis for a Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, for purposes of immigration? For the purposes of immigration, a marriage’s validity is a question of Federal law, not of State law. In 1996, Congress clarified the Federal law concerning recognition of marriage by enacting the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), Pub. L. No. 104-199, 110 Stat. 2419 (1996). The DOMA contains a statutory definition of "marriage," and of the related term, "spouse." Pursuant to the DOMA, in order for a relationship to qualify as a marriage for purposes of Federal law, one partner must be a man, and the other must be a woman. This definition applies to the construction of any Act of Congress and to any Federal regulation. USCIS must, therefore, administer the Immigration and Nationality Act in light of the DOMA, and cannot recognize the validity of any same sex marriage.”
My blood boils when I read this! Again, where the hell are my Human Rights!
It’s getting harder and harder to remind myself that Obama has only been in office for almost 6 months but, this is the fact and I try not being as hard on him as everyone else has been when it comes to gay rights. I will support him in all his doings because I am an American and that’s what we do for our President. But, with that said I will expect a change in this “law” I demand that the DOMA be repealed!
This is against everything America stands for and it is quite embarrassing that we are known to still judge our own citizens – whether we are gay or straight... Whether we are black or white... Whether we are rich or poor. None of these things matter. We are all Americans and we need to stand together!

Another one bites the dust
Another one bites the dust ...
I wonder how many people we have to lose before people change their ways. With the recent passing of Michael Jackson I woke up today with another opinion! Are you surprised? Lol
Brian Oxman – the Jackson’s family lawyer and long-time friend was interviewed on CNN yesterday (June25, 09) after Michael Jackson passed away. He mentioned he felt Michael may have ODed from prescription drugs. Ok, so he did not use the word "overdose" but all in all that is what he meant. He said Michael’s family has been concerned about his health due to him taking prescription drugs. My question is this: WHEN are the Doctors going to be stopped? WHEN are the Doctors going to be held accountable? Anna Nicole Smith was rumored being on prescription drugs as well. And, in the end she ODed. Elvis Presley also died from an overdose of prescription drugs. I lost my brother due to prescription drugs (along with walking pneumonia.)
Shall I continue to name all the people that have passed away from prescription drugs? I bet you - my reader can name a few people – whether they are celebrities I didn’t mention or people you personally know. The Doctors need to be stopped!
I have mentioned my hometown a few times in my postings and again – I am going to mentioned it. I will not disclose the city right now. But, I can tell you for a 100% fact. I know people that go to the Doctors and get prescription drugs – all they have to do is complain about a back ache and the Doctor hands them a prescription. That's where the addiction starts - you take it due to pain and then you find yourself not being able to function without it. These physicians are smart they have to know this is happening but yet these people continue to go to the Doctors for such things & the Doctors keep passing out drugs. It blows my mind, really. Who gave these physicians a “above the law” card?
Some may read this and think – Well, you need to blame the people taking these prescription drugs. And, you are right and I do! I’ve spoken to addicts – I know a few, personally. And, the person close to me that is an addict has not had the easiest life since day one. Is that an excuse? No.
Let’s take a little peak into Michael Jackson’s life for a moment. As it stands right now. No one knows for sure what killed him. Whether it was a health issue (which by the way he just had a complete physical and the Doctor ruled him healthy) or if it was an “accidental” overdose.
Sadly, I keep hearing/reading people who are reminding the public of his molestation charges. Let’s just clear this up. One, he was found ‘not guilty’.
I know, I know - what about the case where he paid the family off with like 20 million after they accused him the first time.
Ask yourself this: If someone molested your child - would 20 million dollars make it all better for you? I didn't think so! It was bullshit - they wanted money and he didn't want the drama! Now, shut up about that story in his life!
I will be the first person to admit he was weird. And, I am sure even his closest friends would silently admit he was a little off. But, put yourself in his position for a moment. Imagine being 5, 6, and 7 years old and instead of playing with the kids outside you are forced to rehearse dance steps in your living room or studio. Imagine having all that pressure on your shoulders at such a young age. He spoke about how that made him feel – he said he would cry because he wasn’t allowed to play with the kids – he was forced into the studio to record for hours and hours. Then, he would go home and be put to bed. Now, try to put yourself in his shoes. Imagine how that would mess with your mind not only as a child, but as an Adult. The boy never had a childhood. I don’t believe he molested any children. I believe he thought he was a child! I believe his mindset was of a 8-10 year old. I believe he just wanted to be a kid. And, I myself feel for him.
Again, some will say – they didn’t have a great childhood either. And, I feel ya. Mine wasn’t a walk in the park. But, remember we are not in the spot light. We didn’t have cameras in our face daily. We weren’t expected to be all smiles non-stop the way celebrities are expected to be.
I feel for them all. I’ve heard SO many people say celebrities need to shut up and stop with all the complaining. The repeating quote is: “They are loaded – they have zero worries.” I always argue their fight with: “Are you fucking kidding me?!” I couldn’t fathom the pressure they deal with. Remember the first day of school? Or the way you feel when you start a new job? Try to imagine how they feel before a concert - walking out onto a stage with millions of eyes on you! Imagine how they feel knowing today in the day they have to all but let their balls hang out while people are around filming them. Imagine making out with some stranger and having to make it look real enough for us to believe! Imagine gaining a couple pounds and then hearing or reading about the world calling you fat, ugly, etc. I mean honestly, that’s pure craziness. A lot of people just think about the money they make and nothing about the pressure they go through and I think it’s awful!
Instead of judging these celebrities and believing the media and magazines why don’t we all remember they are human. Michael Jackson was human. Anna Nicole Smith was human. And Ashton Kutcher is human!
Rest in Peace Michael --- I know you're finally getting to play like a child in Heaven.

June 25, 2009
Today we lost two icons that influenced my generation. Farrah Fawcett (February 2,1947 – June 25,2009) and Micheal Jackson (August 29, 1958 – June 25, 2009) This day will go down in history and I think it is fair for me to speak on behalf of the world - when I say you two will be missed forever.
Rest in Peace.
BOOM BOOM POW
BOOM BOOM POW!
Anyone who feels sorry for Perez Hilton – please raise your hand.
(Kel lightly taps on the microphone … she looks to the floor manager. Manager nods to reassure her mic is indeed turned on ---- Kel clears her throat)
Again, is there ANYONE in this crowd that feels sorry for Perez Hilton? No one?
That’s what I thought!
This dude is ridiculous. I didn’t know who he was until Will.I.Ams manager knocked the hell out of him. If it wasn’t for twitter, I may not have found out so quickly. To be totally honest I can’t say I know for sure what made him known to the public. (I refuse to call him famous) I read an article that said he blogged and bashed top celebrities. I thought “ohhh ok, so he is the paparazzi without the camera and adding a big mouth!”
I’d like to know where he grew up. How he grew up.
Where I come from you would have been punched over 3 dozen times with a mouth like his. You can’t walk around and talk that much crap about people and not get nailed. He would have been jumped in my town. They would have sealed his mouth shut. You ask do I promote violence. Absolutely, NOT! But, verbal, mental abuse is just as bad – if not worse then physical abuse. And what Perez Hilton does on a daily basis is verbal and mental abuse.
Not only that but HOW in Gods name can he stand there and call someone a “faggot” – tell them to “stop acting gay” or “stop being gay” – whichever. When he – himself is gay! I am down right amazed by this dude and his actions. I am gay myself. And I will admit. From time to time I have used: “Dude! That’s so gay!” Which, btw I know is not right. And, I apologize. But, I would never dream of saying what he said. Not only does Perez Hilton promote violence everyday he opens his mouth but he gay bashes, something our community fights daily.
Perez put out a statement that asked - If he was a woman – would it make it wrong to the public. I can’t speak for the public as a whole, but, I can tell you my thoughts.
Woman or Man – if you make it a career of running your mouth and you try to bring people down then you have to be ready for anything. Hell, I have hit people dead in their mouth for shit like that too and I am a woman!
Perez Hilton is an overgrown bully on the playground in elementary school. He needs to grow up and get a real career that takes talent.
I truly hope Will.I.Ams manager gets a fine - if that. And, I truly hope Perez gets a damn life!

Sarkozy Says Burqas Are 'Not Welcome' in France
Sarkozy Says Burqas Are 'Not Welcome' in France
I – myself agree with President Sarkozy and I wish the U.S. and Canada would adopt the same belief. Or rather I wish Obama and Harper would have enough balls to say it too! I applaud Mr. Sarkozy! Good for you and your government.
I’ve been following this story for a couple days. I’ve read comments after comments. Some say: “It’s just like the Christian religion – the nuns cover themselves” Which is somewhat true but let me correct you. Nuns are Catholic. Not all Christians dress that way, clearly. And, I also want to add that is our religion. You are in our countries. Do you think for one single second we would be welcome in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Pakistan if our men did not wear your headgear or our women did not cover themselves? Not only would that not be tolerated - We may even run the risk of being shot and killed if we did not live by your rules.
So, with that said - What gives you the right to come into our countries and demand to live your way. You say it is against your Human Rights if we don’t accept you and your ways. But, you need to remember you chose to live in our countries. We never asked for you to come live here. We aren’t holding you hostage.
Again, if we were in your home country and demanded for us to be allow to wear our cross around our neck, to wear our star of David - or wear our yarmulke (excuse the spelling if it isn’t correct) Or even the simple thing as our baseball hats - it would be forbidden! Your people need to accept the country you CHOSE to live in. And the country that allowed you to live there.
If you stop complaining about how awful we all are for not accepting your religious clothing and open your mind you may see we are welcoming. We aren’t asking you to stop praying to your God or raising your children to believe the way you believe. We even allow you to build your Mosque and pray the way you believe.
The "developed" countries welcome you. We help you get jobs, homes, and an education. Why can’t you embrace our culture and our communities? We would never demand that you change your religion. We would never demand that you wear the cross around your neck while you visit or live here.
The Burqa is a threat, in my opinion. Anyone could be under that! And with the state of the World today we should be forgiven that it is a threat to us.
I feel a lot of the Muslim (not all) community takes us for granted – I feel they use us and know all they need to do is complain and bitch about Human Rights and we’ll give in.
All I have to say is stand in line! I am gay and can not live in MY home country with my wife. What about my damn Human Rights? To this day there are Black people who are mistreated. What about their Human Rights? The Jewish community are still threatened. What about their Human Rights? There are millions of people who go hungry everyday. Eating is a Human Right. No?
Our governments need to look around and see there are MANY people who are born and raised in America, Canada, and France who suffer. We need to take care of our people. Feed our people. Truly give Human Rights to our people before beginning any other conversations.
My Generation is coming along quickly with many opinions – with many priorities that are selfish … which is long overdue. After we help our people – we may begin to help others that are grateful.
Have fun taking advantage of us all now – you have a max of 10 years until my generation is running our countries!

Work place drama?
Work place drama?
Everyone with a full-time job or everyone who has ever had a full-time job will understand the facts I will briefly state:
1)We spend 40 + hours a week at our workplace
2)We spend more time with our co-workers than our family
For some unknown reason every company, every organization seems to have a hand full of asshole that want to live their 40+ hours a week by making everyone else uncomfortable at work.
If you can not relate to the above sentence – then you are more than likely the “asshole” - And if you are the “asshole” please continue to read.
If you can relate to the above sentence. You to - should continue to read – this post may make you laugh or at the very least I hope it makes you smile.
I want to know who hires the assholes. What happens in the interview process that the hiring manager can not see the glow the assholes give off? Or maybe – it’s the existing assholes that hire more assholes. Whatever the case may be. We all need to get together and destroy the personality of the assholes.
Ways to figure out if you’re the “asshole”
•If more than one person walks pass you without a slight grin?
You’re the asshole.
•If you never get invited to after work drinks/Appys?
You’re the asshole.
(If you are not a big drinker, or have a family that takes all your time. The above does not relate to you.)
•If you walk into a room and everyone stops talking & barely makes eye contact with you.
You’re the asshole.
•If you’re a manager/supervisor & your team doesn’t speak to you about their personal life, ever.
You’re the asshole.
•If you hardly hear the question: “How are you doing?”
You’re the asshole.
---and lastly
•If you haven’t been in a relationship for many, many years & you’re over 40.
You’re the asshole.
I can spend 40+ hours creating more of these but lets continue onto other things.
(If you have more to add feel free … maybe we’ll create our own “You’re the asshole”)
My point to this post is – Why can’t everyone just get a long? You spend more than half of your life at your workplace. Why must the assholes treat it like high school? There is no need for this. The assholes make the good people look for other jobs. Good people/ good workers do not stay with companies that continually have social drama. If there are more than a few assholes in one company good people WILL leave. It is a guarantee!
What makes assholes – assholes? Where you born an asshole? Did things happen in your life that made you an asshole?
I myself didn’t have the best life as a child. And I admit I am an asshole with certain things.. Everyone can be an asshole in their own right. Everyone has a right to a shitty day – to a shitty week and even to a shitty month. But, going out of your way to lie on your co-workers.. to go out of your way to add drama to a simple comment … to go out of your way to be-little someone… to go out of your way to make fun of people… it’s uncalled for! Someone in the organization/company needs to come forward and stop the assholes in your workplace. If it is your boss that is the asshole. Go to their boss and confide in them. If they to are an asshole – go to their boss. Somewhere a long the line you will find someone that is able to stop the social drama. If the whole workplace is full of assholes. FIND another job.
Note - you should not be fired if you confide in someone about the social drama. If you do get fired for confiding in someone then you should be able to sue them. So, either way you win! Being mistreated at your workplace is not legal. If you are made to feel uncomfortable by the same person/persons you ARE being mistreated. And you need to stand up for yourself. 9 times out of 10 if the asshole gets spoken to they either change or they themselves quit. Again, you have nothing to lose. The asshole/assholes need to be stopped.
Come together as a team and stop your asshole!
